Thai Massage
Thai Massage, or Thai Yoga performed by Ron Carroll, L.M.T
Description:
You are fully clothed and on a soft mat on the floor or on a very low table with the therapist. Concentrating on one area of the body at a time, the therapist uses compression techniques (gentle, firm pressure) with the palm of the hand, forearm, elbow, feet, and knees while he stretches you into Yoga type positions. This requires a minimum of 1 ½ to 2 hours.
Effects:
A medical massage developed in Thailand, often referred to as Yoga massage because. the body’s energy channels are stimulated via manual manipulation. The compression techniques in this massage are designed to stimulate the body’s life force energy by pressing on entire sequences or series of connected pressure points all over the body. Stretching opens these energy channels as the compression acts like a pump moving stagnant fluids. This form of massage stimulates the body’s physical systems including the muscular, circulatory, lymphatic, and nervous systems.
Benefits:
You are completely relaxed at the conclusion of this experience. Muscle restrictions are released and joints are loose and flexible. Stresses are relieved. Blockages are released in the body, mind, and emotions. You must try this style to understand the full effects that may be experienced in this massage. This is not uncomfortable because the therapist works with you and your body at your comfort level.
Special Note:
Speak to the therapist when scheduling this massage to get pre massage instructions; this is a fully clothed massage.
